Realta Horse Racing Club have this week announced two new horses joining our ranks. Our club’s profile has grown to include a horse in training with Katesbridge based dual purpose racehorse trainer Sarah Dawson. The Robin Des Champs filly is a full sister to six times winner Red Square Lady and is from a good family with plenty of blacktype down the page.
The filly was bought for €14,000 euro at the Tattersalls Ireland February National Hunt Sale and is from the family of 2015 Cheltenham Champion Hurdle winner Jezki. Her sire Robin Des Champ is the sire of the mighty mare Quevega and the highly impressive Vautour. Realta Horse Racing are interested to hear from ladies who want to get involved in racehorse ownership as this will be a ladies only syndicate.
The fifth horse Realta will be taking into our string will be again with Stuart Crawford, a horse that has been named Adds Up. Stuart himself purchased the gelding at the Goffs Landrover Sale in 2014. It has a flat pedigree (Ad Valorem ex Headborough Lass) and is only a few months away from a run. Stuart has explained that the horse is a gelding with plenty of pace.
Given Stuart’s description of the animal the horse will be ideally suited to run in bumpers and possibly sold in the summer with its owners taking home their percentage of the profits. It will be an opportunity for people to own a horse in conjunction with the trainer, a trainer whose record of buying and selling is amongst the best in the business. The horse will be ready to run in the near future and shares will be sold at £190 per month for a 10% share.
