Danielle’s Journey for Cheltenham?

Realta Horse Racing Club are delighted to announce that our mare Danielle’s Journey has been entered at the Cheltenham Festival in the Mare’s Novice Hurdle.

Danielle’s Journey has twice been a winner, has been second three times and has been third once. The Presenting mare is out of the blacktype Harringay and will possibly run on St Patrick’s Day, a year to the day of her first win at Down Royal. The filly was bought at Tattersalls in 2014 and was leased to us by breeder Elizabeth Hamilton. Danielle’s Journey was then put into training with Stuart Crawford in the first week of January 2014 and named after the blog of brain tumour awareness campaigner Danielle McGriskin with a five percent share going to The Brain Tumour Charity.

Following in the mare’s footsteps is her half-sister, a Westerner ex Harringay four-year-old filly that we bought in the Derby Sale at Tattersalls. This is a horse we have one 10% share remaining in (£2950 including purchase cost and training fees until July 2016). Realta have further share options and partnership available with Stuart Crawford and more recently Alistair Whillans in the Scottish Borders. Our UK horses will be managed by Paul Brierley of BB Racing Management & Bloodstock.

For now Realta, Danielle’s Journey’s owners and our club members are ecstatic to have a horse that will possibly bring us to the theatre of dreams for National Hunt racehorse owners, the Cheltenham Festival. For further updates give us a follow on Twitter or on Facebook for the latest information regarding our string of horses and Realta Horse Racing.
